This multidisciplinary book is a collection of current scientific, technological and policy-oriented research pertaining to the use of Earth Observations (EO), such as optical or radar images from satellites and uncrewed vehicles, to address adaptation, mitigation and resilience of disasters. These include events caused by natural hazards and technological accidents, or natural hazard-triggered technological accidents (Natech). This book also highlights key challenges and opportunities for advancing disaster resilience through EO applications.
