The Western Regional Group is pleased to welcome Ben Gilson who will explore the transformative potential of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the field of ground engineering.
This talk will begin with looking at the fundamentals of Generative AI, its uptake, and its impact on productivity, Ben will show real-world use cases in ground engineering, such as information retrieval, content generation, and performing analysis. Future trends in Generative AI technology, the importance of selecting the right tools and targeting obtainable value are discussed.
Emphasis is placed on the human role in controlling AI processes and the need for reasonable skill and care to ensure effective and responsible use of AI technologies. Generative AI has arrived, however, significant widespread gaps in understanding of the potential opportunities and risks remain.
This is a virtual event. Please click on the Book Now button to access the Zoom link. The online room opens at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start.
