The Lyell Collection
The Lyell Collection comprises a fully searchable online repository of the Society’s books and journals.
Members can access over 500 publications online in the Lyell Collection, including the Book Archive online content comprising Special Publications, Engineering Geology Special Publications, and Memoirs published up until 31 December 2020; plus one journal option of your choice.
This journal option is chosen when you join but can be amended in MyGSL or by contacting membership@geolsoc.org.uk

- Articles where the corresponding author or at least half the authors are Fellows of the Geological Society

- Articles where the corresponding author or at least half the authors are Fellows of the Geological Society or members of the Association of Applied Geochemists
*Titles in the "Geoscience in Practice" and "Geology of" book series are excluded from agreements.

Become Chartered
Elevate your professional development with the Geological Society's Chartership opportunities, supported by the dedicated Chartership team.
The Geological Society of London is the recognised UK professional body for geoscientists across all areas of expertise. It awards the professional title of Chartered Geologist (CGeol) and is licensed by the Science Council to award the title of Chartered Scientist (CSci). Both titles are of equal standing.
In order to become Chartered, you must be a Fellow of the Geological Society.
