Website Accessibility
The Geological Society is committed to making the content of its website as accessible as possible to all users, including those with disabilities.
We are constantly working towards improving our website to ensure no one is left out or left behind, including those with visual, hearing, cognitive or motor impairments.
In building our current website, we follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
Our users should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts (by installing a separate browser extension, by using system settings or by using third party software)
- zoom in up to 500% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader
The AbilityNet website has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
